FLUID-BASED SENSOR AND CAMERA CLEANING SYSTEM FOR CARS IS NOT PERFECT SOLUTION!

Reverse cameras, backup cameras, back cameras, rear-view cameras… there are so many names for this important feature of a modern car. And there’s more – side cameras, mirror cameras, front cameras, 360 view cameras. Future car design is altering the way we observe the outside world from our cars.

Typical cleaning systems are based on liquid spray, that tries to remove the dirt and debris from the camera’s protective lens. All the major manufacturers like Valeo, Bosch, Continental etc have their own solutions. But there are many cons with that solution:

  • There has to be a large container for washing liquid
  • Liquid spray comes from a nozzle, which many times has to be ejected by motor, which is expensive
  • Cameras are not always clean – they start to collect dirt immediately after washing
  • Washing is controlled by some timer, or some other logic based on using reverse gear etc
  • Removing of the dirt is not effective – especially if the dirt “burns” to the surface of the protective lens cover

Automotive sensor and camera integration becomes key to shorten computing reaction time, to improve data accuracy and to enable the autonomous driving. These new elements located at vehicle extremities need to be kept perfectly clean throughout the passenger journey to enable ADAS functions to work without fault no matter the conditions. We have developed a total solution for cars to ensure the unmatched video flow and the safety of autonomous vehicles.

See the below images for the current state-of-the-art washing system efficiency. Is this the best that multi-billion car industry can offer??

ALWAYS CLEAN SENSOR AND CAMERA SYSTEM BRING MORE SAFETY AND COMFORT TO DRIVING

Being able to clearly see the road is essential to driving, and even for the autonomous vehicle. The role of the optical sensors is to generate a video stream of good and stable quality, no matter the weather, road conditions, time of the day or season. This is not the case today. Obstacles on the sensor lens generate blindness, distortion of the video stream or even reduction of distance of detection. This can lead to stoppage of the autonomy or, even worse, to errors of interpretation of the video data.

Always clean camera system can also be aesthetic. Our design is very attractive to the car designers, because our camera is almost invisible. Thanks to the lens architecture, large camera “button” is not needed. Try to find the rear view camera from the picture below!

That’s right – the camera is practically invisible. It requires a cavity of just couple of millimeters in diameter.

TOTAL SOLUTION TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE GREEN TRANSFER – C-TRUE BY TECGYVER INNOVATIONS

This is not just a sensor cleaning system, but a total solution which prevents rain, snow, debris and soil accumulation on camera sensor lenses of autonomous vehicles and ADAS. Sensors are always in top condition, totally opposite to the competitor systems where sensor images are perfect just momentarily after washing action. Then the sensor data quality starts to decrease again.

The system complexity is far smaller compared to the competitors (e.g. No liquids needed, thus no liquid pipes, smaller tanks and less mess with the car exterior).
